Born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, Elaine comes from a long line of artisans. Her work is currently on exhibition in Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, New Jersey and Georgia.
The sale of her pantings enables Elaine to minister in India periodically, where she has found her passion for the Indian and Naga people. Elaine works under the auspices of Supreme Task International.

North Sea Holland
This is a piece of wood found on the beach of the North Sea in Holland. What a lovely subject .
Nagaland. In 2000 I found myself in the Indian state of Nagaland. There I found not just my heart but my soul. Nagaland is an Indian state but it is not India. They are of Mongolian decent, so they look Chinese or Tibetan. Their music, clothing, and family structure are similar to Native Americans. They are a tribal people. They are very intelligent and musically talented. They are hardy and can live off of the land. They are fun loving and faithful. The Nagas are called the Christian state of India, but there is trouble there. Some still take vengeance. Old ways die-hard. They were headhunters before William Carey came to them with the Gospel. They accepted the Gospel with gladness, but like the seed sown on rocky soil, the cares of this world choked out the Word. The problems are political and poverty pervades the people. They ask for Bible teachers to come. They want to fulfill the prophecy that was given to them many years ago to send 10,000 missionaries from Nagaland.
